As of a couple of days ago, we have gotten official confirmation from @MortalKombat that the newest addition to the kameo roster, Mavado, will be joining Mortal Kombat 1 on May 7th!
With the recent success of previously released kameo characters Khameleon and Janet Cage, we can only expect nothing but the best from Mavado. His kameo card pictured above states that he will be a good assist for set ups, defense, and combo extension. We got a sneak peek of what Mavado has to offer in the Ermac trailer and last month’s Kombat Kast:
So who is Mavado anyway? A lot of you guys might be too young to know the history of this character so here’s Mavado in a nutshell: Mavado made his debut in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and is a member of the Red Dragon, a rival group to the Black Dragon. His most notable achievement in the original timeline was (seemingly) killing Kabal and taking his hookswords as a trophy, which he used in gameplay. He also uses these hooked bungee cords thingamabobs to propel himself around the stage and for special moves.
